Compton Dando Nomads Cricket Club is always open to new players - whether you are new to the game, returning after a lengthy absence or just looking to add some friendly cricket alongside your league cricket we'd love to hear from you. Our focus is on fun, social cricket with an element of friendly competition! No previous cricket experience necessary.
Then and now...
Compton Dando Nomads Cricket Club formed in 2013 by a small group of local residents. Not dissimilar to your typical 'pub team', the Nomads' initially started out playing a handful of away games each year - performance on the pitch may not have been the most encouraging but the the friendships and community spirit that arose was something else entirely.
In 2017, we were fortunate enough to be offered the opportunity to develop a cricket ground in Compton Dando. It has taken extensive fundraising and numerous work parties but we now have a home ground at Woodlands in Compton Dando and we now offer Women's Softball Cricket, All Stars Cricket and Dynamos Cricket alongside our mixed, open-age cricket offering,
